IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM provides a complete development environment for Freescale's BeeKit Wireless Connectivity Toolkit and gives you a flying start in your wireless project.
Freescale Semiconductor's BeeKit
—Wireless Design Made Easy
BeeKit is a stand alone software application for wireless networking that provides a graphical user interface (GUI) in which the user can create, modify, save and update wireless solutions based on Freescale's protocol stacks. BeeKit provides a wizard and solution explorer that allow the user to quickly and easily configure parameters before creating the project, greatly reducing the need to sift through individual files and manually configure parameters. With the comprehensive code base of wireless networking libraries, application templates, and sample applications, the user generates the appropriate workspace files to be imported into an integrated development environment (IDE) for continued development and debugging. BeeKit is easily scalable to support new code bases and functionality.
BeeKit includes an unlimited use license for the SMAC, 802.15.4 MAC and SynkroRF codebases plus a 90-day evaluation of Freescale's BeeStack™ which supports the ZigBee/ZigBee Pro (including the Smart Energy Profile) and ZigBee RF4CE codebases. A single user license and floating license may be purchased for BeeStack.
Development tools for BeeKit
IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM provides a completely integrated development environment including a project manager, editor, build tools and debugger for Freescale Semiconductor's MC13224 device (ARM7).
In a continuous workflow, you can create source files and projects, build applications and debug them in a simulator or on hardware. The optimizing compilers generate very compact and efficient code. Ready-made examples and code templates for your embedded project are included with the product. The standard edition of IAR Embedded Workbench also includes built-in plugins to different hardware debug systems.
To evaluate the IAR Embedded Workbench for use together with Freescale Semiconductor's BeeKit Wireless Connectivity Toolkit, our standard 30-day evaluation edition, as well as a 32KB code size limited KickStart version is available.
