Software licenses |
| There are two kinds of licences to choose between: the stand-alone license for single users and the network license for multiple users. |
Stand-alone license |
When you order a stand-alone license for a single user, you have the choice to lock the license to either of:
- The hardware identies within the computer such as the hard disk ID and network card ID
- A hardware lock, or dongle, which makes it easy to move the license between different computers and to avoid difficulties in case of hardware failure.

Network license |
The network license is convenient and cost efficient for a team of developer. A complete IAR Embedded Workbench package is delivered for each user and new users can be added to an existing network license.
The network license requires license server software that is included in the delivery. It is connected to a hardware lock, which makes it easy to move the software to another server and to avoid difficulties in case of hardware failure. |
