Product Engineer, Uppsala

We are looking for a Product Engineer to our development team in Uppsala, Sweden.

As a Product Engineer, you will work with semiconductor vendors from all over the world as well as work closely with the Product team and Development team. You will bridge product and development activities and increase our communication with important world-wide partners to enable a tighter integration between our tools and partner tools.

Job definition
Building relationships and to coordinate relevant activities is important for you as a Product Engineer. You need to identify areas of improvement and drive actions for change.

  • Conduct technical discussions with ARM and semiconductor vendors 
  • Monitor relevant partner information channels 
  • Research, collect, and report information within the relevant integration interfaces
  • Listen, understand and convey requirements. Based on this, provide input and make recommendations for product and process enhancements Translate identified technical requirements into development activities
  • Analyze technical and functional problems in IAR Embedded Workbench in relation to debug support for specific devices
  •  Assist in internal test, design, and development efforts as required

You will also focus on integration between our flagship product IAR Embedded Workbench and standards, technologies, and integration interfaces. 

Profile
You possess strong communication skills, and the capacity to facilitate teamwork and good relations. Moreover, you have a problem-solving, proactive approach and a “can-do” attitude.

  • Bachelor degree in relevant area, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in engineering or relevant technical support engineering
  • C/C++ programming experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • You are self-driven in your work, yet an active team-player
  • Ability to weigh commercial and technical requirements against each other
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, written and verbally

Additional Skills and/or Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required:

  • Microcontroller and hardware-oriented development experience
  • The ARM CMSIS-PACK delivery mechanism for software components, device parameters, and evaluation board support
