The IAR Embedded Workbench product family is a set of highly sophisticated and easy-to-use development tools for programming embedded applications. It integrates the IAR C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, librarian, text editor, project manager, and C-SPY® debugger in our integrated development environment (IDE).
We provide the IDE in two variants, one proprietary version and one based on Eclipse. Our products are available for a multitude of target architectures ranging from 8- to 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) and are sold worldwide through authorized resellers and our own sales organization. The main development site is Uppsala, Sweden.
Job description and Qualifications: Eclipse team
As a software engineer your main task is to develop high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical specifications according to assigned tasks. You are part of a development team, and the development activities are either performed solely or together with colleagues in the team (or from other teams). As for all roles in the company, it is important to understand the company business and work towards company goals. As a member of the Eclipse team you will develop and maintain our Eclipse IDE.
The ideal candidate will possess these required qualifications
• A university degree or corresponding experience is required and preferably you also have some work experience within the field
• Documented experience in Java programming
• C/C++ programming
• Eclipse plug-in development
• Experience of Windows and Linux as host platforms
• Scripting languages, such as Ruby, or similar
• Windows interface programming using MFC or multiplatform interface programming using Qt (or similar)
• Working methods such as Scrum, Kanban, or test-driven development
• Build machinery (Jenkins, Maven, CMake, scripting, continuous integration)
• Experience or interest of microprocessor and hardware-oriented development
