As a member of the IAR Systems development department you will work together with highly experienced engineers and have the unique chance to contribute to a productive software environment created by software developers, for software developers!
Our main product is IAR Embedded Workbench which our customers use to program processors in embedded systems. It integrates a compiler, an assembler, a linker, a librarian, a text editor, a project manager, and a debugger in one integrated development environment (IDE). We provide the IDE in two variants, one proprietary version and one based on Eclipse. IAR Embedded Workbench is available for all 8-, 16- and 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) from all major semiconductor vendors and is sold worldwide. The main development site is Uppsala, Sweden.
As a member of the IDE/debugger team your work will be designing and implementing of future IDE and debugger functionality. A good understanding of user requirements and the ability to build robust software beneath the surface are important in this position, as well as a general interest in creating good development tools. You are a skilled C++ programmer with experience of or an interest in working with class libraries and user interfaces on the Windows platform. A university degree or corresponding experience is required and preferably you also have some work experience within the field.
