About the role

At IAR Systems we work with customers from all over the world. As a Marketing Manager, you will build relationships with our customers and partners in China. The focus of your role is to generate marketing qualified leads, for a sales person to grow the business in China. And at the same time, to increase company and produce awareness, and also customer satisfaction. The marketing person will work closely with our sales teams, and our field application engineers who supports with the technical aspect in sales. Together we strive to build lasting relationships that bring value to our customers in a friendly and professional manner.


This position reports to the Country Manager will be responsible for any activities in China and the tasks include, but are not limited to, the following functional activities:

• Planning and executing all marketing activity in China

- Drive marketing solutions to local customer needs

- Develop thorough marketing material (white papers, blog posts, webinars, etc.)

- Establish strong business relationships with customers and partners

- Coordinate program review and provide updates to stakeholders

• Collaborate with APAC marketing manager, and Corporate marketing team on global activities

- Manage localized website

- Create localized versions of global promotions and press announcements


To succeed in this role, we believe you are an experienced marketing. The following are the requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, communications, or related discipline

• 7+ years of B2B marketing management, research and analysis.

• Experience in cross-functional project management

• Strong ability to prioritize requests and to balance demands from the local sales team as well as from the corporate marketing team (based in Sweden)

• PDCA cycle management

• Omni channel content development skills

• Being comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment IAR Systems is a global company in a worldwide market, thus you need to possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to deal with people from diverse backgrounds both face to face and on the telephone.

It is a bonus but not a requirement if you also bring any of the following:

• Digital marketing strategy development experience

• Experience from working in a website CMS (we use Episerver)

• Experience from a marketing automation system (we use Salesforce Pardot)

• Experience of living abroad

• Working experience from an international company

• Experience from the embedded market

• Knowledge of software license business

• Strong desire to be a key player in a winning team

IAR Systems Development (Shanghai) Ltd. is a subsidiary of IAR Systems Group, selling IAR Systems’ products to the domestic embedded systems market. IAR Systems started the business in China with a local distributor in 2001 and has been developing business in China since then. In 2004 we opened our office in Shanghai, and as of 2020 we also have an office in Shenzhen. As a part of this expansion, called IAR China 2.0, we are recruiting an operations manager, account managers and field application engineers to help build our direct sales organization. Currently, there are two account managers and two engineers on the team, and by the end of 2021 we aim to be 7-8 colleagues on the team.
