About the role

At IAR Systems we work with customers from all over the world. As an Account Manager, you will build relationships with our customers and partners in China. The focus of your role is to help grow the existing customer base, meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas, and at the same time increase customer satisfaction. The sales organization works closely with our field application engineers who supports with the technical aspect in sales. Together we strive to build lasting relationships that bring value to our customers in a friendly and professional manner.

This position reports to the Sales Manager will be responsible for sales activities in China and the tasks include, but are not limited to, the following functional activities:

  • Account Management & Business development
    • Manage accounts proactively and focus on selling the products and solutions
  • Establish Sales strategy & Analysis
    • Based on timeline, sales targeting and management per products & accounts
    • Sales management through KPI
  • Develop and lead sales processes
    • Inbound lead qualification, prospecting, opportunity identification and forecast
    • New business development to achieve goals
    • Execute strategies and implemented processes proactively
  • Communication with Global Team
  • Pain point analysis of B2B customers and operating process advancement

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we believe you are an experienced account manager. The following are the requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of sales experience (in any market)
  • PDCA cycle management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Continuous proven track record of quota achievement
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work to tight deadlines or under pressure
  • Self-reliance and the ability to work without close supervision
  • Display initiative and problem solving ability
  • Being comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment

IAR Systems is a global company in a worldwide market, thus you need to possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to deal with people from diverse backgrounds both face to face and on the telephone.

  • Track record of sales in cold calling and emailing are highly desirable
  • Experiences in service and relationship building are highly desirable
  • Experience of living abroad
  • Working experience from an international company
  • Experience from the embedded market
  • Knowledge of software license sales
  • Account planning skills for large company
  • Ability to use Salesforce
  • Strong desire to be a key player in a winning team

IAR Systems started the business in China with a local distributor in 2001 and has been developing business in China since then. In 2004 we opened our office in Shanghai, and as of 2020 we also have an office in Shenzhen. As a part of this expansion, called IAR China 2.0, we are recruiting an operations manager, account managers and field application engineers to help build our direct sales organization. Currently, there are two account managers and two engineers on the team, and by the end of 2021 we aim to be 7-8 colleagues on the team.
