Introduction

Trying to register to get a license number for a KickStart (size-limited) or Evaluation (time-limited) version, License Manager says "Failed to open the url ..."

Possible solution

1. Compose an URL in the form shown below, using appropriate substitutions for PRODUCT and VERSION. 
   

   https://register.iar.com/eval?product=PRODUCT&version=VERSION

2. Use a web browser to open this URL.

Note

• The product must be an EV (Evaluation) or a KS (KickStart).
• It is imperative that the version is the same that has been installed. (Determined automagically in the normal case.)
