Porting projects from one toolchain to another can be nuisance, to say the least. However, when porting to IAR Embedded Workbench there are several ways this task can be simplified.
By moving your development into our leading toolchain, you get access to:
But how do you move your existing project into an IAR Embedded Workbench project? There are some coding differences you must consider, but we provide tools to help you with this task.
Migration guides that describe how to port existing projects are available for a number of architectures.
We provide tools to create an IAR Embedded Workbench project file using a project file from another tool as the input. The tools can convert source code files and the project files, and will automatically transfer information such as file groups, source file names, defined symbols, include paths, build configurations and exclude-from-build.
You can access the project converter tools from within the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE, from the Tools menu.
