IAR I-jet Trace for RISC-V
Debugging and trace probe for RISC-V, enabling powerful features in IAR Embedded Workbench. Providing extensive debugging and trace functionality for RISC-V devices with a trace interface based on the draft RISC-V Nexus Trace Specification.
Native support in IAR Embedded Workbench
Integrated tools simplify your development workflow. Our feature-rich in-circuit trace debugging probe enable powerful features in IAR Embedded Workbench. The support for full Trace fully enables code coverage and profiling aside of the call stack graph of the application in the time line.
Best in class performance
I-jet Trace for RISC-V provides a fast debugging platform via JTAG/cJTAG/DAP and SWD with download speeds of up to 3.73 MByte/sec. The JTAG and Serial Wire Debug (SWD) clocks up to 100MHz (no limit on the MCU clock speed).
Broad support for RISC-V
All devices from our partners and custom system-on-chip (SoC) with the official RISC-V Trace Nexus IEEE-ISTO 5001™ standard for RISC-V cores are supported.
Extensive trace capabilities
I-jet Trace for RISC-V is equipped with a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface reaching 5 Gbps in data transfer from the probe to the IAR C-SPY debugger. . The trace data collection can be done with up to 350MHz ETM trace clock and 64-bit time stamp with CPU cycle accuracy. Infinite code coverage and profiling is enabled by the included streaming trace feature.

Connectors and adapters
I-jet and I-jet Trace has a MIPI-20 connector on the front panel and come with MIPI-20 and MIPI-10 cables, as well as a legacy ARM-20 adapter. For I-jet Trace, only the MIPI-20 cable supports the ETM trace functionality, MIPI-10 and ARM-20 are for plain JTAG/SWD/SWO debugging. For details on the connectors, see the user manual.
In addition, the following adapters are available from IAR Systems to fit different target connectors:
