Qt acquisition of IAR

IAR and Qt, a Nordic powerhouse

IAR is now a fully owned entity of Qt Group.

Together, we are creating a broader and more integrated offering that supports the entire product development lifecycle. By combining our strengths, we are building a comprehensive, multi‑product portfolio designed to deliver even greater value to our customers and partners.

Our joint capabilities will enable us to provide a true one‑stop shop for embedded and safety‑critical development, from powerful compilers and development tools to advanced quality-assurance and testing solutions. This combination strengthens what you rely on today and opens new possibilities for tomorrow.

Here we will share updates relevant to our customers, partners, and other stakeholders as we continue this journey together.

Qt and IAR Integration

Upcoming change to IAR email addresses

As part of IAR’s ongoing integration into the Qt Group, we will migrate our digital environment to Qt during Q1 2026.

Following this migration, all outgoing emails from IAR employees will be sent from new @qt.io email addresses. At the same time, your existing @iar.com contacts will continue to receive incoming email during a long transition period, to ensure continuity and avoid disruption. This means you can continue emailing @iar.com, and the IAR team will reply from their @qt.io addresses.

This is the first visible step toward aligning our digital systems within the Qt Group. IAR continues to operate as an independent business unit and brand, and this update does not change our products, licensing, support processes, or how we work with you today.

What this means for you

From February 22, 2026:

    • You can continue to contact us as usual – @iar.com addresses will remain active for incoming messages during a long transition period. Over time, we encourage you to update your contacts to reflect our new @qt.io email addresses.
    • The IAR team's response email address will be @qt.io.
    • Support, product access, and sales processes continue as today.
    • Contracts, invoicing details, legal entities, and commercial terms continue as today. No changes are required on the customer/stakeholder side.
    • All support channels, including email, portals, and automated messages, continue unchanged.
    • There is no cross-selling of products or services between Qt and IAR at this stage. When this happens, we will share this information with you.

We will keep you posted as the integration progresses. If you have any questions, please reach out to your regular IAR contact.
