Nocom broadens collaboration with Stockholm County Council

Nocom takes over hosting of the county council's website sll.se

Nocom has signed a contract with the Stockholm County Council (SLL) for technical hosting and support of the website www.sll.se. The contract is an expansion of collaboration that was initiated at the beginning of 2002 and is a part of the newly extended, two-year frame agreement reached by the parties. The website sll.se is oriented to Stockholm County's 1.9 million inhabitants and has important information on, among other things, traffic, economy, the environment and culture, as well as political information from the county administrative board, with video webcasts from all meetings. "Hosting at Nocom gives us good prerequisites for continued growth as a 24-hour authority. We are very pleased with the high security level and accessibility that Nocom can offer," says Gunnar Sundell, Information Department, Stockholm County Council. "We know from other activities within the county council that Nocom is a very competent hosting partner. We are looking forward to Nocom taking over hosting at the website sll.se." Nocom already handles hosting for the Internet portal Vårdguiden, as well as the county council's electronic catalog service EK and other similar applications. For all of these well-visited websites, there are very high demands on both hosting security and the systems' accessibility. The website sll.se will be moved to Nocom's modern hosting center in Solna before the end of the year. "With this contract, we further strengthen our position at the county council. That the council's information department has also chosen Nocom as its hosting partner is an acknowledgement of the trust we have established," says Joachim Orrblad, managing director at Nocom Drift. "We have the quality and expertise that is required for providing highly qualified, around the clock hosting of IT systems."
