Nocom launches operations in the Baltic States – Expands collaboration with Symantec

Nocom is expanding and investing in sales in the Baltic States. In conjunction with this, the distribution agreement with Symantec is being expanded so that Nocom now becomes a value-adding distributor of Symantec’s IT security products in the Baltic States as well. The focus will primarily be on Symantec’s more advanced security solutions for businesses. Nocom is already established in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. “The decision to go into the Baltic States is a natural widening of our operations in Scandinavia. The Baltic region is exciting, with strong growth and rapidly increasing IT maturity. There is already a demand for our products and skills, and the future potential is considerable,” says Stefan Skarin, Nocom CEO. “Especially gladdening is that Symantec is with us on this endeavor. We are already collaborating successfully in the Scandinavian countries and the IT security area is quickly expanding.” Through its Finnish company, Nocom already has some sales experience in the Baltic States. Operations will begin with Symantec’s security solutions, but the company expects to soon significantly expand the Baltic product line. “Symantec places stringent demands on its value-adding distributors, not the least when it comes to the more advanced security solutions. Nocom has the expertise and experience needed to fulfill our demands,” says Lars Olav Gaden, Symantec’s regional director for Scandinavia and the Baltic States. “We already have successful collaboration with Nocom and see very favorably on their efforts in the Baltic States.” Peter Lämber, currently in charge of Nocom’s operations in Norway and Finland, will be responsible for operations in the Baltic States.
