Summer workers to our engineering department in Uppsala

About the role

IAR is looking for two university students to help structure our library for development boards, and work on improving our test rig during the summer of 2024

In their daily work within the embedded domain, our engineers use development boards (special circuit boards) to test their software. These development boards are stored in a library which is currently hard to get an overview of due to a lack of structure. The summer work consists of stocktaking, sorting, and labelling the development boards to make it easier for our engineers to find what they need.

IAR also have a test rig used to automatically test the quality of our software. The test rig consists of several servers connected to development boards, USB-hubs, debug probes and other equipment. The test rig has grown over time, and it is now hard to see how the parts are connected. The assignment consists of re-connecting and re-mounting these cards, cables, and peripherals in a structured manner, with the goal of simplifying future troubleshooting,
To be successful in this role you need to be meticulous, structured, and have an interest/basic understanding of hardware. The summer work will take place during w.25-w.32 on-site at our office in central Uppsala.
